The Business of Pet Sitting
Pet Sitting is a great business to get into either for a young person to do for neighbors in the neighborhood, as my children have done or as a real out of the Home business. There are some things that need to be contracted. This is a professional industry because the pets are able to stay in their own, No "travel trauma" for the pets, reduced stress on the pets, pets stay on their on regular routines. Pet Sitter are often licensed and insured for liability including care, custody and control of pets in their care. Pet sitters are also bonded or insured incase of theft. Pet Sitters should have training with pet certification, also animal husbandry classes or pet sitting accreditation help can be found. There exists many professional organizations to help pet sitters with improving their services.

Dealing with Dog Hip Dysplasia and Arthritis
Hip Dysplasia is an abnormal formation of the hip socket, it can cause crippling, lameness and painful arthritis of the joints. Dogs might exhibit signs of stiffness or soreness after rising from the laying position. When the dog runs, instead this is more of a bunny-hop or other abnormal gait (back legs move more together when running instead of separately alternating). Dogs may also have signs of lameness, pain, reluctances to stand on back legs, reluctant to climb stairs, or jump up. The dogs, that have the most problems are medium to large pure-bred breeds. Some smaller breeds such as Shetland Sheepdogs (or Shelties) and Cocker Spaniels are also known to suffer from it. Even some cats, such as the Siamese breed suffer from Hip Dysplasia. The animal that is suffering from this does not yell out in pain instead they will usually just refuse to climb stair or lay down or sit down where they are.

Dealing with the Loss of a Pet
Dealing with the losing a family pet is not easy for adults, children or even other pets in the family. When a beloved pet dies, the pain is enormous. My family has had many types of animals on the farm in Missouri and our home here in Georgia. We have dealt with the death of dogs, cats, our beloved Ferret, our fish, pet birds, rabbits, goats and many other types of animals. People tell you to get another pet to replace the loss right away, it may work for some of you, but for other people it takes more time to grieve and heal. Some people may even decide to not even get another pet of the same kind, such as with us. (We do not ever want to get another ferret because we loved our Amoreena so much, that when she died, it broke our hearts).
